The 14th World Congress of Syriac Studies concluded with the adoption of the 'Bucharest Declaration', emphasizing Romania's role in cultural diplomacy. The event gathered 400 participants from 33 countries, focusing on the protection of Syriac and Arab Christian heritage amidst Middle Eastern conflicts. The declaration highlights the importance of preserving cultural heritage for future dialogue and peace, urging international cooperation for cultural preservation projects. Organized by the Levant Institute for Advanced Peace Studies, the congress aimed to promote Romania as a mediator between East and West.
