The FIA has announced that Italy will replace Saudi Arabia as the host for the final stage of the 2026 World Rally Championship due to ongoing regional conflicts. The Sardinia rally will now take place from October 1-4, instead of the previously scheduled Saudi event in November. Despite efforts to ensure the Saudi rally could proceed, safety concerns and logistical uncertainties led to this decision. The Saudi rally will still occur as part of the Middle East championship. Current standings show Elfyn Evans leading the drivers' championship, while Toyota leads the constructors' standings.
