Concelex and Atlantic Council Romania held a roundtable in New York discussing the strategic infrastructure of NATO's eastern flank. The event featured Romanian President Nicușor Dan and focused on investment evaluation and funding for critical infrastructure over the next decade. Participants emphasized the importance of existing capabilities for rapid recovery post-crisis, drawing lessons from Ukraine. Two key proposals were presented: incorporating execution capacity into project qualification criteria and prioritizing long-term public-private partnerships. American investors view the eastern flank as a significant investment opportunity, contingent on clear risk allocation and capable local partners.
