CONAF: Share of women on listed companies' boards rises to 22.1%, but number remains unchanged

The representation of women on management boards of Bucharest Stock Exchange companies increased slightly, but the actual number of women remained unchanged. A study revealed that while the percentage of women rose from 21.4% to 22.1%, 25 boards had no female members. The study highlighted discrepancies in compliance between state-controlled and private companies, with state firms performing better. Despite existing laws aimed at improving gender representation, challenges in information accessibility and compliance monitoring persist. Full compliance would require additional appointments across several companies.
