The accomplice of the maid who set fire to the apartment and killed anesthetist Cristian Staicu has been arrested by police. Ivan Emil, 47, was wanted nationally and internationally, with a preventive arrest warrant issued against him. He was caught in traffic while heading to Bucharest and taken into custody. Previously, he had been arrested for concealing stolen jewelry from Staicu. Investigators believe he was aware of the robbery plan but not the murder. Emil is also under investigation for facilitating prostitution and has been linked to the case through the maid's actions, including providing stolen items.
