Companiile tech vor să construiască centre de date în Patagonia argentiniană. Ce le-a atras atenția
Tech giants are increasingly interested in building data centers in Argentina's Patagonia region due to its low temperatures and renewable energy potential. While there is public opposition in other areas, developments in Argentina are progressing quietly. The move southward is driven by criticism in the U.S., but locals remain unconcerned about the impact of these facilities. Patagonia's vast, uninhabited spaces are seen as ideal for data storage, particularly for the growing demands of artificial intelligence. Neuquén province is reportedly initiating plans for a data center near its power plant, with significant energy consumption expected. OpenAI has also announced a partnership for a green energy data center project worth up to $25 billion.
