Companiile se pregătesc pentru regulile UE anti-defrișări

New EU regulations on products linked to deforestation will take effect for large and medium companies from December 30, 2026. Firms dealing with products like coffee, cocoa, and palm oil must prove their origins and ensure they are not sourced from deforested land. The EUDR requires companies to assess risks, gather supplier information, and submit necessary declarations to the European Commission. Importers and exporters should start verifying product codes and collecting geolocation data. Non-compliance can lead to significant fines, potentially reaching 4% of annual EU turnover, and product confiscation. Small businesses have until June 30, 2027, to comply, with some exceptions.
