Prime Minister Donald Tusk urged the president to support this measure, which could generate 4 billion zlotys annually. A similar bill was previously rejected, but the government is pushing for its approval. Tusk emphasized that citizens should not bear the burden of the fuel crisis, as global turmoil has led to rising fuel prices, benefiting companies like state-controlled Orlen. Consumers are facing higher pump prices, contributing to inflationary pressures.
