An employee allegedly deleted WhatsApp from a work phone, hindering access to potentially relevant information. The inspections, conducted by the Competition Council, targeted Philips and ten other companies in the medical equipment sector. These actions were part of an investigation into possible anti-competitive practices. Companies that obstruct inspections may face fines of up to 1% of their previous year's revenue.
