Comitetul Patrimoniului Mondial UNESCO a luat o decizie privind Peisajul Cultural Minier Roşia Montană

The UNESCO World Heritage Committee recognized the progress in protecting the Rosia Montana Cultural Mining Landscape during its 48th session in South Korea. The committee highlighted efforts in revising protection plans, monitoring water quality, and legislative initiatives. Inclusion on the World Heritage in Danger list is seen as a support tool rather than a sanction, aimed at increasing visibility and access to resources. Essential measures for the site's protection include developing a General Urban Plan and continuing collaboration with the local community. Romania is represented by its ambassador to UNESCO and a national focal point for the World Heritage Convention.
