Comisia pentru Protecţia Datelor din Irlanda amendează Google cu 403 milioane de euro pentru nereguli în prelucrarea datelor de localizare

The Irish Data Protection Commission has fined Google €403 million for violations related to location data processing. This decision follows an investigation initiated in February 2020 due to complaints from consumer protection organizations. Google is required to adjust its data processing systems to comply with EU GDPR regulations within six months. The investigation focused on three specific Google features that breached GDPR from May 2018 to February 2020. Google stated that its practices have significantly evolved since 2019, introducing tools for better location data management. The DPC is also conducting three other advanced investigations into Google.
