Comisia Europeană: TikTok nu protejează suficient minorii

The European Commission has found that TikTok fails to comply with the Digital Services Act regarding the protection of minors. Preliminary findings indicate that current account settings expose minors to unwanted contacts and online harassment. Minors can set their accounts to public, allowing anyone to view their content, and content from users aged 16-17 can be recommended to others, increasing risks. The Commission emphasizes the need for stricter default settings to limit visibility and access to minors' content. TikTok will have the opportunity to respond to the findings, and if violations are confirmed, penalties may be imposed.
