The European Commission and the European Investment Bank Group have introduced a new voluntary framework to boost long-term institutional investment in the European tech ecosystem. Thirteen institutional investors have already committed to channel investments into innovation and scale-up companies, supported by initiatives like the 'European Technology Champions' and the 'Scale-up Europe' fund. This pact aims to facilitate access to venture capital for high-growth European firms, ensuring they remain competitive globally while anchored in Europe. It is part of a broader EU effort to unlock more institutional capital for technology and innovation, addressing key financing challenges in enhancing Europe's competitiveness.
