Comisia Europeană propune o rețea interconectată pentru serviciile de urgență / "Echipele noastre de intervenție trebuie să poată comunica instantaneu"

The European Commission has proposed a secure communication system for emergency services across Europe to enhance crisis response. This system aims to enable real-time communication among police, firefighters, medical services, and civil protection teams, allowing them to share data and coordinate effectively during emergencies. Currently, emergency communication systems are not interconnected across borders, which can hinder response efforts. The new system will transition member states from narrowband radio to high-speed technologies like 5G, with backup connectivity provided by European satellites. Implementation is planned to start in 2030, pending approval from EU member states and the European Parliament.
