The proposal allows member states more flexibility in using certain liquid digestates from manure while ensuring environmental protection. It also extends exemptions for specific liquid digestates that meet nutrient recovery criteria. Stakeholders are invited to provide feedback until November 13, 2026, before the proposal is submitted to member states and potentially to the European Parliament and Council.
