Comisia Europeană plănuiește să amâne cu un an intrarea în vigoare a normelor privind emisiile de metan - Economica.net
The European Union plans to delay the implementation of methane emission regulations for oil and gas imports by one year, despite calls for a longer grace period from some member states. The regulations, set to take effect on January 1, 2027, would require foreign suppliers to monitor and report methane emissions. EU Energy Commissioner Dan Jorgensen stated that the European Commission is considering a one-year postponement, emphasizing that member states must be ready to comply once the delay ends. Approximately ten EU member states, along with the U.S., have urged the bloc to suspend or revise the regulation, citing concerns over readiness and potential impacts on gas supply.
