Comisia Europeană intervine, după atacurile asupra navelor din apropiere de România și Bulgaria: Pun la dispoziție imagini din satelit pentru a proteja navele comerciale

The European Commission is providing satellite images to Bulgaria and Romania to assess the Black Sea situation following attacks on commercial vessels. The European Maritime Safety Agency is also supporting both countries in maintaining security in the region. The Commission condemned the attacks as unacceptable, linking them to Russia's aggression against Ukraine, which poses a serious threat to maritime security. The Black Sea is strategically important for the EU, and a strategy was adopted last year with a budget of around 200 million euros for various projects. Bulgaria and Romania are key players in protecting the eastern flank and will receive 20 billion euros through the SAFE initiative, with pre-financing already provided.
