The European Commission has unveiled a strategy for implementing new driving license regulations aimed at enhancing road safety across EU member states. The measures include a graduated driving system for 17-year-olds, a probation period for new drivers, and improved training and testing procedures. Additionally, the strategy introduces a digital driving license valid throughout the EU and ensures recognition of driving bans across member states. The Commission emphasizes its commitment to road safety, aiming to reduce road fatalities by 50% by 2030 and eliminate them by 2050.
