The European Commission has designated ChatGPT, Reddit, and Roblox as very large online platforms and search engines under the Digital Services Act. These platforms must comply with additional obligations to mitigate systemic risks associated with their services. The Commission will oversee compliance and has the authority to investigate functionalities behind these services. This designation affects 28 platforms and search engines, ensuring they adhere to regulations regarding user safety and content dissemination.
