Comisia Europeană cere României transpunerea integrală a noilor norme privind organizarea pieţei de energie electrică

The European Commission has initiated infringement procedures against Romania and 17 other countries for failing to implement new electricity market regulations. These regulations, outlined in Directive (EU) 2024/1711, aim to enhance consumer choice and energy sharing rights. Member states were required to notify the transposition of these provisions by July 17, 2026. The Commission has sent letters of formal notice to these countries, which now have two months to respond and comply. Failure to do so may result in further legal action.
