Comisia Europeană avertizează asupra legii decarbonizării

The European Commission is reviewing amendments to Romania's decarbonization law, warning that any regression in reforms could have financial consequences. A spokesperson noted that changes affecting coal and lignite power plant closures are linked to the availability of low-emission alternatives. The Commission emphasizes the importance of this law as a key reform in Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and will assess potential risks once the amendments are promulgated. Additionally, the Commission is monitoring Romania's energy supply amid drought conditions, stating that there are currently no concerns regarding electricity stability.
