Comisia Europeană alocă 130 de milioane de euro pentru apărarea antidrone a statelor membre UE • Newsweek România

The European Commission is increasing support for EU member states' anti-drone capabilities with an additional €130 million. This funding is part of the Border Management and Visa Instrument and adds to previous allocations totaling over €500 million. The aim is to enhance situational awareness and protect external borders against unauthorized drone activities. This initiative aligns with the broader goal of equipping national authorities with modern tools for border security. Additionally, the EU's Drone Security Action Plan was launched to safeguard airspace and critical infrastructure from hostile drone threats, including the establishment of an anti-drone excellence center.
