The European Commission has allocated €134.8 million from the EU Solidarity Fund to support Spain and Romania after major natural disasters in 2025. Spain will receive €120.5 million due to severe droughts and wildfires, while Romania will get €14.3 million following significant flooding that affected several regions. The funding will assist in covering emergency response and recovery costs. Both countries requested support in 2025, and the decisions follow the approval of the proposal by the European Parliament and Council. Payments will be made soon to both nations.
