The European Commission has released the final terms for the IF26 Heat Auction, aimed at decarbonizing industrial heat with a budget of one billion euros. This funding, sourced from the EU ETS, supports projects that reduce emissions through electrification, renewable energy, and, for the first time, nuclear technologies. The auction is open to projects producing heat above 80 degrees Celsius and is set to launch in December 2026. A national information session for potential applicants in Romania is scheduled for October 5, 2026.
