Comisia Europeană a avertizat Guvernul înainte de votul din Senat asupra amendamentelor privind decarbonizarea, susține ministrul interimar al Investiţiilor, Dragoş Pîslaru
The European Commission warned the Romanian government that proposed amendments to decarbonization legislation could jeopardize commitments under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Minister Dragoș Pîslaru stated that the government sought the Commission's opinion before a Senate vote, which confirmed that the amendments violate key milestones. Despite prior warnings, the Senate adopted a proposal allowing gradual phasing out of coal and lignite energy production only after new capacities are built. The legislation includes exceptions for energy production in emergencies.
