The European Commission approved Romania's Action Plan for resuming sheep and goat exports, marking a significant step towards international trade in this sector. Minister Tanczos Barna emphasized ongoing diplomatic efforts to facilitate further decisions for export resumption. The plan includes the administration of 1.3 million vaccines to combat animal diseases, ensuring that exports of carcasses and dairy products remain unaffected. Additionally, six international export agreements have been secured, with more negotiations underway. Farmers have protested against the management of animal disease outbreaks and export restrictions.
