Comerțul cu amănuntul în România, în creștere după 8 luni
In August 2026, retail trade in Romania saw a 0.5% increase compared to July, and a 2.3% rise when adjusted for seasonal factors. However, compared to August 2025, the growth was only 0.9%. In the first eight months of 2026, retail sales dropped by 5%, primarily due to a decline in non-food product sales. The National Institute of Statistics reported that while there was a slight increase in August, overall sales for the year remained lower than the previous year, particularly in non-food and fuel categories.
