Combustibilul nuclear de la Cernobîl, aproape intact după 40 de ani. Ce înseamnă descoperirea

Researchers have found that radioactive particles from the Chernobyl disaster are more stable than previously thought, which could impact health risk assessments. Analyzing six tiny fragments, they discovered that the nuclear fuel's crystalline structure remains largely intact after four decades. These particles, released during the 1986 explosion, continue to emit radiation and can pose health risks if inhaled. The study highlights the need for further analysis of more samples from various regions to draw broader conclusions about the stability and health risks of these particles. Current findings do not suggest lifting restrictions in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone anytime soon.
