Comandamentul Energetic, convocat din nou din cauza debitului scăzut al Dunării. Ce decizie s-a luat pentru Unitatea 2 de la Cernavodă
The Energy Command met to address low Danube water levels and rising energy demand, deciding to keep Unit 2 of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant operational. Authorities assured that electricity supply for consumers will remain unaffected despite the challenging energy situation. The National Energy System is stable, with all production capacities available, including coal-based sources. Energy consumption is expected to rise due to a heatwave, with peak demand projected to reach around 7,800 MW next week. The regulatory authority is accelerating the licensing of new energy production capacities, including nearly 300 MW of solar power starting August 1.
