Colliers: Livrările de retail încetinesc în 2026/ Costurile mai mari de construcție și consumul mai prudent au dus la amânarea unor proiecte

The Romanian modern retail market added around 80,000 square meters of new commercial space in the first half of 2026, a decrease from 122,000 square meters in the same period last year. The total stock now exceeds 5.2 million square meters. Despite a projected decline in deliveries for 2026, the pipeline for 2027 remains strong, potentially making it the most active year for deliveries in over a decade. Economic challenges, including higher taxes and inflation, have impacted consumer spending, but the market shows resilience. Retailers are adapting to a more cautious consumer environment while maintaining interest in new projects.
