„Coliva de struguri", tradiția mai puțin cunoscută de 6 august

On August 6, Orthodox Christians celebrate the Transfiguration of the Lord, commemorating Jesus' divine appearance on Mount Tabor. This event, witnessed by apostles Peter, James, and John, aimed to strengthen their faith before the crucifixion. Traditionally, farmers bring grapes and other produce to be blessed, symbolizing gratitude to God. The blessed grapes, sometimes referred to as 'grape coliva', are shared as alms. This day also allows for the consumption of fish, wine, and oil during the Dormition Fast.
