Coiful de la Coțofenești nu e singura țintă a hoților. Tezaurul din Villena, furat dintr-un muzeu spaniol • Newsweek România
The Villena treasure, a significant Bronze Age collection, was stolen from a Spanish museum in a swift heist. This incident follows the theft of the Coțofenești helmet, which was recovered after 15 months. The Villena treasure, discovered in 1963, consists of around 50 pieces, primarily gold, and is considered one of the most important sets of gold artifacts from the Bronze Age. The theft occurred early in the morning, with thieves escaping just minutes after the alarm was triggered. Authorities are investigating potential links to a prior alarm at a nearby sports complex, suspecting it may have been a diversion.
