The National Museum of Romanian History has launched a dedicated webpage for the restoration of the princely helmet from Coțofenești, allowing the public to follow the conservation process. The initial stages included detailed imaging documentation and non-invasive physical-chemical analyses to assess the helmet's condition. Collaborations with experts from various institutions facilitated the investigation, leading to a conservation strategy based on minimal intervention principles. The helmet, stolen in the Netherlands, was recovered along with two gold bracelets, while a third bracelet remains missing.
