COFCO: China își va crește producția de porumb. Livrările din Statele Unite "nu sunt încă o opţiune"
China's corn production is expected to rise this year, while imports may slightly decrease due to economic viability issues with U.S. corn. COFCO's Zhang Dalong noted a production increase of 5-8 million metric tons compared to last year, driven by good results in the north. He projected imports for the 2026/2027 agricultural year at 3.5 million metric tons, down 170,000 tons from the previous year, with significant contributions from Brazil and Argentina. Despite reduced tariffs, U.S. corn remains economically unviable. Sorg imports are expected to rise, while barley imports will decline significantly.
