A heatwave is intensifying across Romania, with red and orange alerts issued for extreme temperatures. Highs of up to 41 degrees Celsius are expected, particularly in western regions. The heat will affect various areas, including Muntenia, Dobrogea, and parts of Transylvania, with significant discomfort due to humidity. Nighttime temperatures will also remain high, reaching tropical levels. The red alert will expand to more counties, with extreme temperatures forecasted to persist, especially in Bihor, Arad, and Timiș. A yellow alert will be in effect in other regions, including Dobrogea and northern Muntenia, where temperatures will also be elevated.
