A significant portion of Romania will experience a heatwave with temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius. The National Meteorological Administration has issued an orange alert for 27 counties, indicating extreme heat and discomfort. The heat will persist from August 21 to August 22, with nighttime temperatures remaining tropical. Additionally, 12 counties will be under a yellow alert for high temperatures, with maximums between 34 and 37 degrees Celsius. The heat index is expected to exceed critical levels, leading to increased discomfort.
