The National Meteorological Administration issued a yellow alert for atmospheric instability in western Romania, effective Monday from 12:00 to 22:00. Heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds are expected in several regions, with gusts potentially exceeding 80 km/h. Rainfall amounts may reach 15-25 liters per square meter, with isolated areas receiving over 40 liters. Additionally, strong winds will intensify in the Southern Carpathians and Apuseni Mountains overnight, with gusts reaching up to 100 km/h at high altitudes.
