The National Meteorological Administration issued a yellow alert for heat and thermal discomfort in eight counties and Bucharest, valid on Monday from 10:00 to 22:00. High temperatures between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius are expected in southern Banat, southern and western Oltenia, and southern Muntenia, with a heat index exceeding 80 units. The affected areas include Caraș-Severin, Mehedinți, Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Călărași, Ilfov, and Bucharest. Additionally, atmospheric instability is anticipated in mountainous regions and southern areas throughout the day.
