The National Meteorological Administration has issued a yellow alert for extreme heat in Romania, effective from Saturday morning until Sunday evening. High temperatures between 30 and 36 degrees Celsius are expected, particularly in Banat and Oltenia, leading to significant thermal discomfort. The heat index is projected to reach critical levels, especially in Bucharest, where similar conditions will prevail. This morning, temperatures varied across the country, with the lowest recorded at 9 degrees Celsius in Iezer and 17 degrees in Bucharest.
