Coaliția de guvernare de dreapta din Israel vrea interzicerea participării partidelor arabe în alegerile parlamentare din 27 octombrie

The Likud party, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, plans to request the Central Elections Commission to disqualify the Joint List and Ra’am from the upcoming elections. Likud argues that there is no place in the Knesset for parties that attack IDF soldiers and fail to label Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations. Itamar Ben Gvir, leader of Otza Yehudit, has also filed a complaint against Ra’am, claiming it does not recognize Israel's existence. The Joint List has condemned the disqualification attempt as racist and insists it will not succeed. Ra’am, a moderate Islamist party, previously supported the government during a period when Netanyahu was not in power. Both parties are projected to secure 10-12 seats in the Knesset, potentially influencing the balance of power. Yair Golan, leader of the left-wing Democratic party, has announced plans to request the disqualification of Ben Gvir's party for undermining democracy and inciting racism.
