CNE Kozlodui își reduce din nou capacitatea din cauza scăderii continue a nivelului Dunării / Pentru prima dată măsura preventivă se aplică și la Unitatea 6
The Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant in Bulgaria has reduced its capacity due to the declining water levels of the Danube River, affecting both operational units. This preventive measure, announced by the Ministry of Energy, reduces total capacity by approximately 180 megawatts. Previously, Unit 5's power was also reduced due to extreme hydrological conditions, marking a first in the plant's 52-year history. The situation is being monitored closely, with forecasts indicating a continued decrease in river flow, potentially necessitating further actions. Minister Iva Petrova emphasized the need for technical solutions to maintain water levels and mentioned four possible measures being considered.
