CNCAN: Centrala de la Cernavodă are rezerve de apă pentru 3 zile
Petre Min, head of CNCAN's Emergency Situations Operational Service, stated that there are sufficient water reserves to safely maintain the nuclear facility for three days, despite low Danube levels. The Danube at Cernavodă reached -259 cm, just above the operational limit. Min emphasized that even if certain thresholds are reached, it does not indicate a nuclear accident. Measures are being implemented to address the low water levels, including the construction of a dam to direct more water to cooling pumps. The National Administration "Apele Române" announced a temporary increase in water discharge to support the cooling system. In case of a nuclear incident, intervention plans are in place, but they are not automatically activated at the Danube's level threshold.
