CNAIR official says youth road deaths exceed those from tuberculosis and drug use
Road fatalities among youth in Romania surpass those from tuberculosis and drug use, highlighting the need for road-safety education, according to CNAIR spokesperson Alin Serbanescu. He emphasized the lack of focus on this education for 35 years, leading to increased youth mortality. The new campaign aims to shift public attention towards early training in safe driving habits, which should start in childhood. Serbanescu noted that such education can reduce the reliance on punitive measures and that young people can play a role in reminding adults about road safety.
