The National Company Bucharest Airports (CNAB) awarded a contract for supervising the development of Henri Coandă International Airport's infrastructure. The winning bid was submitted by a consortium including Tecnic Consulting Engineering Romania and Hill International. The contract is valued at 63.65 million lei, significantly lower than the initial estimate of 88.86 million lei. This consultancy contract will cover design, procurement, execution, and warranty phases, preparing the airport for projected traffic by 2040. The new terminal aims to accommodate around 30 million passengers annually and includes modern facilities and infrastructure improvements. The project is part of a strategic development program for the airport.
