The resolution was adopted during what may be Bolojan's last meeting as Prime Minister, pending a vote of confidence for the new government. The CNA highlighted that fines had not been updated since 2009, despite significant inflation, and the Court of Accounts had repeatedly called for this adjustment. The new fine limits will be adjusted according to inflation, aligning with European standards and ensuring that sanctions remain effective without infringing on freedom of expression.
