The Paris Administrative Tribunal upheld a €2.7 million fine against Paris Saint-Germain for failing to meet gender equality standards before 2024. The fine, equivalent to 0.5% of the club's 2022 revenue, was initially imposed by the labor inspectorate due to insufficient results in gender equality metrics over three consecutive years. PSG appealed the decision, citing the unique nature of a football club, but the tribunal rejected their arguments, stating that all player salaries were included in the calculations. PSG acknowledged the ruling and plans to enhance professional equality within the organization. French companies with over 50 employees must annually report their gender equality index by March 1.
