Alexander Degianski, President of the Romanian Farmers' Club, emphasized the agricultural sector's institutional and climatic inertia, highlighting the need for preventive measures against risks like drought. He criticized the government's focus on compensating losses instead of investing in irrigation and water management. At a conference for the Economic Architecture Manifesto 2028-2034, he advocated for agriculture's inclusion in Romania's long-term economic strategy. Degianski pointed out the rising costs faced by farmers and the imbalance in competition due to differing regulations. He called for stable economic priorities and investments in processing capacities and risk management tools to ensure food security and prosperity.
