The ranking considers possible connections between arriving and departing flights on the busiest day of the year, August 2. Istanbul Airport serves 337 global destinations and is the eighth busiest airport worldwide. Heathrow has dropped one position, with a 6% decrease in potential connections compared to last year, affected by ongoing disruptions in the Middle East. Among the top 50 megahubs, 12 are located in Europe, including Madrid and Munich.
