The Romanian language class in Orlivka will reopen after efforts by the Romanian Consulate in Odesa. Seven children will resume classes in Romanian starting September 21. The decision was made by the school's teaching council and approved by local authorities. This solution ensures the continuity of education in the mother tongue. Authorities from Romania and Ukraine have until September 1, 2027, to find a sustainable solution for Romanian education in Ukraine. The case gained attention after the class was closed shortly after the school year began, forcing children to switch to Ukrainian classes. Diplomatic efforts continue to secure the children's right to learn in their native language.
