Clădirea primei fabrici de mașini din România va fi transformată într-un hub cultural. Proiectul este finanțat cu 42 de milioane de lei

The former site of Romania's first car factory will be transformed into a cultural hub with a budget of 42 million lei, approved by Arad's Local Council. The project aims to rehabilitate the historic building into a multifunctional space for the community, including a museum and event halls. Funding includes 34 million lei from non-repayable EU funds, with local funds covering the remainder. The project is set to be completed within three and a half years, addressing the building's critical state of disrepair. The factory, known as M.A.R.T.A., was established in the early 1900s and produced various vehicles until its closure in 1926.
